Recap of our Play in the Clay Summer Workshops

Who could have imagined what these "Play in the Clay" sessions were going to turn into? We had so much fun. We laughed till we cried, we learned, created and best and most of all, we made new friends and shared, at times, personal, emotional and almost soul-cleansing experiences.

Participants came from all walks of life having the same thing in common - "the wheel is on my bucket list!". And while everyone did get their turn on the wheel, the workshop was more about completely escaping the day-to-day and entering a world where nothing else seemed to matter except making that little lump of clay into something to be proud of. Four solid hours of a mental break, a foray into something new and different as well as the opportunity to dig deep and just create.

Thank you, gals. I thoroughly enjoyed leading you toward that final half hour when you all stood back and admired what you were able to put together with your bare hands. Not only did you surprise me with your efforts and results but I think some of you truly shocked yourselves at your hidden talents!

Here's to the next round of workshops - not sure yet when they will be - but I think it's safe to say that our inaugural event will now be an onging annual event!
